Im Husten- und Erkältungssegment gibt es in der aktuellen Kalenderwoche 45 im Vergleich zur Vorwoche einen leichten positiven Trend mit einem Wachstum von + 7 %. Der Absatz bleibt mit – 30 % allerdings weiter deutlich unter dem Wert von 2019. 

Auch in anderen Märkten kann eine verstärkte Dynamik bei Absatz und Umsatz im Vergleich zur Vorwoche bzw. 2019 beobachtet werden:

In der allgemeinen Betrachtung des Retailmarktes zeigt sich in den öffentlichen Apotheken- und Hausapotheken in Kalenderwoche 45 ein deutlicher Umsatzanstieg von 30 % im Vergleich zur Vorwoche. Dabei ist zu beachten, dass die KW 44 einen Feiertag enthielt und somit nur 4 Werktage aufwies. Der aktuelle Umsatz liegt mit + 6 % weiterhin über der Vergleichswoche von 2019.

Die Entwicklung des Absatzes folgt dem Umsatztrend und zeigt einen deutlichen Anstieg von + 29 % in Kalenderwoche 45 im Vergleich zur Vorwoche. Dabei liegt der aktuelle Absatz mit – 5 % allerdings leicht unter dem Vorjahresniveau.

Die 3 Segmente – rezeptpflichtige Produkte, OTC & Homöopathie sowie Health & Beauty – zeigen deutliche Absatzanstiege im Bereich von + 12 % bis + 39 % im Vergleich zur Vorwoche. Im Vergleich zu 2019 liegen rezeptpflichtige Produkte dabei mit – 2 %, OTC & Homöopathie mit – 10 % und Health & Beauty mit – 4 % unter den Vorjahreswerten.

Bei Kassenrezepten, Privatrezepten und Selbstmedikationen ist ebenso ein deutlicher Anstieg im Bereich von + 10 % bis + 44 % im Vergleich zur Kalenderwoche 44 ersichtlich. Der Absatz an Kassenrezepten sowie Privatrezepten liegt dabei allerdings mit – 3 % und der Absatz bei Selbstmedikation mit – 8 % unter den Vorjahreswerten.

Here you will find our newsletter on the current development of the pharmaceutical market in calendar week 45. 

In the cough & cold segment a slight increase of + 7 % in calendar week 45 compared to the previous week can be observed. However, volume is with – 30 % still well below the same week of 2019.

Increased market dynamics in volume and sales vs. the previous week and 2019 can be observed also in other markets:

In calendar week 45 sales of the retail sector show a strong increase of + 30 % compared to the previous week. In this regard it is important to note that calendar week 44 included a holiday and thus only consisted of 4 workdays. Current sales are with + 6 % still above the same week of 2019.

Volume follows a similar trend to sales with a strong increase of + 29 % compared to the previous week. In Calendar week 45 volume is with – 5 % below the same week of 2019 though.

The 3 segments – prescription products, OTC & homeopathy and health & beauty – show strong volume increases in the range of + 12 % to + 39 % compared to CW 44. However, volumes are below the same week in 2019 with prescription products by – 2 %, OTC & homeopathy by – 10 % and health & beauty by – 4 %.

The segments – health insurance prescriptions, private prescriptions and self-medication – also show strong increases in the range of + 10 % to + 44 % vs. the previous week. In comparison to the calendar week 45 in 2019, health insurance prescriptions and private prescriptions decreased by – 3 % and self-medication by – 8 %.
