In der Year To Date-Betrachtung des Retailmarktes zeigt sich in den öffentlichen Apotheken und Hausapotheken in Kalenderwoche 28 ein Umsatzwachstum von +9 % im Vergleich zu 2020. Das Absatzvolumen nimmt im Vorjahresvergleich um -2 % ab.

In der aktuellen Kalenderwoche wird ein Wachstum des Umsatzes von +19 % und +6 % im Vergleich zu 2019 bzw. 2020 verzeichnet. Der aktuelle Umsatz liegt mit -4 % unter dem Vergleichswert der Vorwoche. Wie in folgender Grafik ersichtlich ist, steigt die Impfrate stetig an. Während 5.124.707 Personen bereits ihre erste Dosis erhalten haben gelten 4.006.917 Personen als vollimmunisiert. Dies entspricht einer Steigerung um 19 % bzw. 21 % bei den teilimmunisierten/vollimmunisierten Personen verglichen mit der 26. Kalenderwoche.

Die Entwicklung des Absatzes der aktuellen Woche zeigt im Vergleich zur Vorwoche eine negative Entwicklung um -6 %. Dabei liegt der aktuelle Absatz mit 1 % leicht über dem Vergleichsniveau von 2019 während keinerlei Veränderung zum Jahr 2020 beobachtet werden kann.

Das OTC & Homöopathie-Segment verzeichnet im Vergleich zur Vorwoche und der gleichen Woche im Jahr 2020 eine Entwicklung von -3 % und +9 % und eine Steigerung von +1 % im Vergleich zu 2019. Health & Beauty zeigt eine Entwicklung von -6 % und -5 % im Vergleich zur Vorwoche und Vorjahr während der Absatz um -2 % im Vergleich zu 2019 gesunken ist.

Im Husten- und Erkältungssegment zeigt sich mit +2 % eine positive Entwicklung im Vergleich zur Vorwoche. Der Absatz liegt mit +2 % über dem Vergleichswert von 2019 und mit +46 % deutlich über dem Wert der Vergleichswoche von 2020.

Auch in anderen Märkten kann eine verstärkte Dynamik bei Absatz und Umsatz im Vergleich zur Vorwoche bzw. 2020 sowie im Vorjahresvergleich des Year To Date beobachtet werden:

In calendar week 28 the Year to date view of the retail market shows an increase in sales of +9 % but a decrease in volume of -2 % compared to 2020.

Sales of the retail sector show a decrease of -4 % compared to the previous week. Current sales are with +19 % and +6 % surpassing the same week of 2019 and 2020.

Volume shows an increase of +1 % compared to the year 2019 and 2020 no change compared with 2020. With -6 % the current calendar week is below the previous week. In the 28 week of the current year 5.124.707 Austrian inhabitants received their first vaccine shot while 4.006.917 are fully vaccinated against Covid. In relative numbers the vaccination rate increased +19 % for the first shot and +21 % for fully vaccinated people compared to the 26. Week of the 2021.

The OTC & Homeopathy segment shows an increase of +1 % and +9 % compared to the years 2019 and 2020. Volume of OTC & HOM is with -3 % below the previous week. Health & Beauty shows a decrease of -5 % compared to the year 2020 and a slight decrease of -2 % compared to the preceding week. If we look at the numbers of 2019 and 2021 side by side, we see a decline of -6 % in Health and Beauty.

In the cough & cold segment an increase of +2 % in calendar week 28 compared to the previous week can be observed. Volume is with +2 % above the same week of 2019 and with +46 % notable surpassing 2020.
